ONE IS TOO MANY AND 100 ISN'T ENOUGH

Salisbury Beach – Sept 19, 2023

It’s quiet here in Salisbury, MA. It’s a ghost town. Even my favorite breakfast place that was written up in the Boston Globe has closed for the season.

The waves are huge from a recent hurricane.

It’s my first time staying at this state campground. It’s pretty good and I like the facilities. Basically I’m across the street from the beach. I walk up the little path cross the parking lot and I’m at the beach.

Half the campground is closed down to restrict campers to a more confined area. Every site has electrical power and water hook up. It’s only $35 a day. Well that’s for state residence. They have these little power stations that some have a light on them. For reasons I don’t understand the lights seem to come on and off at random during the night.

The beaches within the park are excellent. There’s no real need to go anywhere else. But I got that gypsy heart, so I travel around.

The waves have gotten smaller since yesterday. It’s more manageable now. Unless you are surfing it’s too much work to be watching out for these waves. You can get hurt if they catch you off guard.

Peace and have fun. I’m off to Newburyport and Plum Island next. It’s a brutal ride. Check out the video below.
