Rarely do I make a trip to the Cape Cod area without stopping by Wareham, MA and visiting my friend Rob. We’ve been friends a long time.

The Riverside Cafe on Main Street in Wareham offers a good hearty breakfast in a comfortable setting. A great way to fuel up with energy to start your day.

Wild turkeys run wild in most of Massachusetts including urban area like Boston.

Little Harbor Beach is a nice little beach in Wareham. It’s for residents only. Of course that’s only to park a car. Show up with a bike and you’re good.

Clamming and crabbing at this beach is excellent. I’ve enjoyed many a dinner with fresh clams and crabs from this beach.

Nice sandy beach. It’s a shallow beach so the water warms up to the point where it’s almost too warm. If you’re biking and your body temp needs a good cooling off you won’t get that.

People love their lobster rolls in New England. I’m not one of them. If I’m going to eat lobster I prefer doing it rightly. Like getting at lease 2 and sometimes 3.

Lobster rolls vary from location to location. Some are served hot on a toasted roll and have melted butter dripped on them. This one in the photo is served cold and had a mayonnaise based dressing.

This lobster roll came for the Lobster Pot restaurant on Rt. 6 in Wareham. It’s an authentic New England seafood joint. They have all the seafood you would expect and good lobster dinners as well.
